The WAFA course comprises of a 28-hour (WAFA) module and a 4-hour Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) module, is accredited by Wilderness Medicine Society (WMS) and American Heart Association (AHA).
The WFA course is conducted by Hanifl Centre, in partnership with AERIE Back Country Medicine, USA.
This is a mandatory certification for Adventure Instructors, Sports Instructors, Outbound Trainers and Outdoor Enthusiasts.

ABOUT WILDERNESS MEDICINE
By definition ‘Wilderness’ in the context of ‘Wilderness Medicine’ means when one is at least an hour away from medical help, which effectively in the Indian scenario applies to almost every place, let alone the remote & wild places. “Wilderness Medicine means standard medical principles provided in a context that requires attention to extended contact time with the patient, environmental extremes, treatment with limited and non-specialised equipment that may require improvisation, and the possible lack of communication.”

Integrating classroom instruction with scenario based learning
32 hour curriculum over 4 days
